SFO Begins Construction On Yet Another Terminal Expansion

The construction at San Francisco International Airport is perpetual, with the new T3 West project involving a $2.6 billion renovation set for completion in 2027.
T3 West will feature three new gates for wide-body planes, enhancing international travel access and including a direct walkway to Customs Hall.
This project will also add 200,000 square feet of space for retail and restaurants, enriching the customer experience in the terminal.
Additional amenities include a new mezzanine-level check-in area and a seven-story structure for a potential new United lounge, expected to open by 2028.
