Olaria Municipal / ARDE Arquitetura + Design
Briefly

The project in Quinta da Estrela addresses structural issues from landscape alteration with a rehabilitation proposal that respects the original building while adding functional space.
The expansion acts as a buttress to the existing structure and features handmade solid bricks, honoring the craftsmanship of pottery while enhancing the connection to the earth.
A redesign of the landscape adjacent to the entrance, coupled with two ramps, improves accessibility and establishes a smoother relationship between the building, town, and valley.
This intervention emphasizes both industrial aesthetics and a memorial to the excavated hillside, bridging traditional construction methods with contemporary needs in a thoughtful manner.
