Starting September 1, 2024, National Grid will implement a series of rate hikes, resulting in a 19.4% increase for downstate customers, impacting 1.9 million residents.

National Grid aims to replace 45 miles of gas main every year in NYC to enhance infrastructure, exceeding the previous plan of 41 miles annually.
The increases are set to assist low- and moderate-income customers, alongside expanding customer service, ensuring energy affordability while advancing New York's clean energy transition.
