Miami Beach is proposing a $952 million budget for 2025 focusing on public safety, homelessness, and cleanliness while maintaining a flat tax rate despite rising property values.
The proposed budget reflects a rise from $942 million last year, emphasizing enhancements derived from resident feedback and the priorities of city leadership.
With $1.2 billion needed over five years to combat sea-level rise and infrastructure needs, Miami Beach is also managing ongoing projects that total $1.3 billion.
Despite capital improvements dropping from $114 million to $74 million, CFO Jason Greene indicated earlier appropriations for essential projects from previous initiatives still effectively contribute to infrastructure.
