London's Pocket Parks: Thessaly Road Oasis, SW8

The area, once rows of Victorian terraced housing, was extensively damaged during WWII, leading to a redevelopment of post-war flats and the opening of the pocket park in the early 1950s.
After more than a decade of closure, plans are underway to restore the pocket park near Nine Elms, which offers promise with its large trees and open spaces.
