Exclusive | One of America's most famous mid-century modern homes asks $2M - and it can be shipped to you
Briefly

The Walker Guesthouse, an iconic mid-century tiny home designed by Paul Rudolph, is up for sale at $2 million, stored in two parts. Originally built in 1953 on Sanibel Island, Florida, it has historical significance and is currently displayed in New York City. Having been sold in 2019 for $750,000, it remains stored while prospective buyers consider restoration and local permitting requirements. Included in the sale are original furniture designed by Rudolph and architectural plans, alongside unique design features like a transformative open-air pavilion system.
It's a work of architectural art. If someone wanted to turn it into a livable structure, they would probably go through whatever their local permitting would ask them to do.
The house is being sold with period furniture that Rudolph, who died in 1997, designed or chose for the interior, including a desk, a coffee table, director's chairs and a bookshelf.
