Marc Cherry, the creator of "Desperate Housewives," has listed his new construction home in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, for $8 million. The house is designed to withstand fires with features like a steel frame, stone cladding, and a whole-home fire sprinkler system. Architect Daniel Cordova emphasized that while the home isn't entirely fireproof, significant effort was made for safety. Originally built as a tribute to his late mother, Cherry hopes a buyer will appreciate the home’s craftsmanship and care put into its construction.
I can't say it's 'fireproof,' as nothing is 100%, but great time and expense was put into making it as fire-safe as possible.
My original intent was to build a home for my mother in my neighborhood so I could visit her more frequently. Sadly, she died before it was finished.
