Bridge replacement project in Whitesboro set to begin in September

The New York State Thruway Authority is set to invest $9.3 million replacing the Thruway bridge over Oriskany Boulevard in Whitesboro, with work beginning in September 2024.
The new bridge is designed to last 75 years, enhancing the current infrastructure with two 12-foot-wide travel lanes, and an increased vertical clearance of 14 feet and 7.5 inches.
This construction project is expected to conclude in fall 2026, featuring wider shoulders for improved safety and traffic flow on Oriskany Boulevard.
