A Dated Blue Bathroom Gets a Sun-Drenched, Modern Transformation for $4,500
Briefly

"Since this room is in the middle of the house with no windows, we knew we had to add a skylight. This was our first skylight install, and we vaulted the ceiling to let even more light pour in." Amanda and Jason's remodel transformed a dark space into a brighter bathroom. They extensively renovated the room due to plumbing issues and water damage, investing $4,500 to enhance the home’s functionality and aesthetic.
"I remember working on this renovation over the December holidays, spending entire days in the bathroom, meticulously placing rows of tile one by one!" Amanda reflects on the dedication and effort required for the remodel, illustrating the hands-on approach they took which included a complete gut job of the existing bathroom.
"The walls were painted blue, and there was large brown tile on the floor and in the shower area. We went with a monochromatic white color scheme for the remodel that feels so much brighter now." The change from dark colors to a bright, coordinated theme dramatically improved the bathroom's ambiance and light.
"He built a towel rack and a toilet paper holder versus purchasing because we weren't liking anything we found." Amanda shares how customizing wood details in the bathroom contributed to a unique and personal touch for their remodel.
