'We'll stand up for all New Yorkers': Mayor addresses ICE raids and Roosevelt Ave transformation at Corona town hall - QNS
Briefly

During a recent town hall in Corona, Mayor Eric Adams reassured local residents regarding their fears of ICE deportation raids under the Trump administration. He emphasized his commitment to protecting all New Yorkers, regardless of immigration status, and expressed intent to discuss the issue directly with federal officials. Adams highlighted the importance of daily life remaining uninterrupted for immigrant communities, urging children to continue attending school and victims of crimes to report incidents to law enforcement without fear. Council Member Moya also praised the contributions of immigrants to the city.
We are very clear, children should go to school. Those who need healthcare should go to hospitals. Those who are involved in any type of interaction where they're victims of a crime, they should speak to the law enforcement agencies. We have maintained that over and over again.
There's a lot of anxiety and a lot of uncertainty and the ink is not even dry on these executive orders.

I plan to speak to the Trump administration about its plans to carry out raids in New York City.
