Suspected migrant shoplifters threw rocks, assaulted NY officers during arrest, police say
Briefly

When officers tried to place the individuals under arrest, two allegedly resisted and caused 'redness and swelling to the officer's left arm.' Another individual threw rocks at officers, though no one was struck by the projectiles, police added.
NYPD arrested five individuals, two of whom received charges for robbery, assault, resisting arrest and possession of stolen property, among other charges. Officers slapped the remaining three with robbery and disorderly conduct charges.
"Instead of working with federal officials to arrest, detain and immediately deport thugs wreaking havoc in our city, progressive politicians have tied the hands of our NYPD to the benefit of criminals, and are allowing them to remain here in luxury hotel rooms with five-star service on the taxpayers' dime,' Rep. Malliotakis said. 'In a post-9/11 world, we cannot afford to take any chances."
