NYC Dems urged to switch voting address to upstate vacation homes: 'Feels weird'
Briefly

The stakes couldn't be higher this election. Womens' freedoms, LGBTQ rights and democracy are under attack by MAGA Republicans. We know that the outcome of the election can come down to a handful of purple districts, potentially unleashing Project 2025 on the American people.
Voting where you have your second home means showing up for your community, which deserves smart, reasonable representation at the local, state, and national level.
MoveIndigo pointed to a 2022 race in Upstate New York, where Rep. Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., defeated then-Democratic incumbent Sean Patrick Maloney by 1,820 votes.
The races in that district, and five others in the Hudson Valley, Central New York, and Long Island, are once again expected to be extremely close in 2024. That means your vote in these districts would have a significant, and potentially decisive, impact.
