An off-duty NYPD officer, Avijit Boiragee, 33, was arrested for assault and harassment allegations within the 61 Precinct's jurisdiction. The arrest occurred at 3:50 AM on April 7.
The NYPD has not provided further details on the incident. Boiragee, who joined the department in 2021, is currently facing these charges.
