NY unveils first rules for growing marijuana at home: How you can cultivate cannabis
Briefly

Stoners with a green thumb - and over the age of 21 - will be able to cultivate a maximum of six mature marijuana plants and possess up to five pounds of flower or concentrate from those buds per household.
The proposed regulations also require that pot plants be put in a secure location that is not plainly in public view, in order to prevent theft, or accessible to youths under the age of 21. Only a single site be utilized for marijuana cultivation, thus forbidding an individual from growing weed at multiple addresses. Landlords and Co-op buildings and condos will be able to determine whether they want to implement odor mitigation policies, but cannot forbid residents from possessing pot.
