Judge was right to drop charges against Eric Adams - freeing him to do his job AND run for reelection
Briefly

A federal judge has dropped corruption charges against NYC Mayor Eric Adams, which were perceived as politically motivated after his criticism of the Biden administration. The case had been a significant burden, affecting his morale and campaign. Although the charges were dismissed, the damage to Adams’ reputation and the implications on his reelection efforts remain significant. There is concern over the timing and motives behind the prosecution, with doubts cast on the future of his campaign strategy, including the possibility of running as an independent.
Hizzoner has plainly suffered a personal morale hit from this ordeal; he even announced that he'd stopped reading the newspapers to help him cope.

It's done major damage to Adams, slamming his reputation and encouraging ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo to enter the race despite his past promises.
