Queens Borough President Donovan Richards celebrated the approval of the Queens redevelopment project which includes a 7-story soccer stadium and 1,400 'affordable' apartments. The redevelopment project in Willets Point also includes 2,500 housing units, with a focus on adding affordable housing. Richards highlighted that 15% of the affordable units will be reserved for homeless individuals, contributing to the borough's economic growth and aiding in post-pandemic recovery.
