He emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that people are getting hurt and killed, and stressed the importance of providing law enforcement with necessary tools to address the issue.
Mattera's bill includes a provision (Senate Bill S8867) that would enable police to evict suspected squatters immediately based on the homeowner's sworn complaint.
