Andrew Cuomo is Top Choice to Replace NYC Mayor Adams If He Resigns: Poll
Briefly

In a poll of New York City voters conducted by Slingshot Strategies, Cuomo would win 22% of the vote in a nonpartisan special election, with Public Advocate Jumaane Williams taking 15% and Kathryn Garcia 12%. The option with the most voters behind it, however, was 'undecided' with 35%.
Adams' job approval has plummeted to 28% as his administration has struggled to deal with rising crime, budget cuts and an influx of migrants. His reputation also took a blow after a lawsuit charged him with sexual assault in 1993, and an FBI probe was launched into potentially illegal campaign contributions.
Cuomo, who resigned as governor amid allegations of sexual misconduct, has reportedly been considering entering the race if Adams leaves office. Cuomo was also sued for sexual assault recently by a former assistant.
