'Work from home': NJ Transit's shares message to commuters in case of a rail strike
Briefly

NJ Transit is urging commuters to consider working from home starting Friday due to the looming possibility of a rail strike by the locomotive engineers' union. The rail agency is actively negotiating with the union representing about 450 engineers. As the strike deadline approaches, many commuters are strategizing alternatives. NJ Transit is also augmenting their service by adding more buses and limited capacity to existing routes, while emphasizing that only essential travel via their services should occur during this period of uncertainty.
NJ TRANSIT strongly encourages all those who can work from home to do so and limit traveling on the NJ TRANSIT system to essential purposes only.
In the event of a potential rail stoppage that could begin on Friday, May 16th, NJ TRANSIT is urging all train customers to work from home if possible and only use other NJ TRANSIT services for essential travel.
My employer does have a contingency plan that allows for remote working, but we don't know how long [that] will happen for so my backup plan is mostly praying.
NJ Transit is planning to add more buses to routes starting Monday morning, including Park & Ride Services on weekdays during the morning and evening rush.
