A family from Port Richmond is desperately looking for their 17-year-old son, Brandon Pino, who jumped off the Staten Island Ferry after posting concerning messages on social media. His sister, Cathleen, urged the public to search the waters and shorelines for him. The family has been conducting daily searches in various locations, sleep-deprived and heartbroken. Search efforts are being coordinated with public assistance, with gatherings planned at different points along the shoreline for community support in locating Brandon.
"I want to let others know to please be on the lookout if they're fishing or if they're on their boats, keep a look out for Brandon," Cathleen said between tears.
"We've been having to be the ones to go at night, during the day, overnight... we're taking turns, we're not sleeping, we're searching for him with flashlights across all borders," Pino explained.
"Bringing flashlights will be very useful, any help is appreciated," said Pino. "Anyone can go near the shoreline of Staten Island, Brooklyn, Bayonne, Jersey City, northern New Jersey to help."
