Girl injured in Dublin stabbing 'communicating on new level'
Briefly

Following a tragic incident on November 23, 2023, in which a six-year-old girl suffered grave injuries, her family updates on her recovery journey. After spending over 370 days in hospital, the girl has shown significant progress, now able to express herself through communication and art. The family reflects on their visit to the site of the attack, where they felt a sense of closure and emphasized the importance of perseverance, stating that despite past heartaches, they will never give up. Her ongoing recovery serves as a testament to strength despite challenges.
Our little girl doesn't seem to remember, or have any trauma from the day, but I was apprehensive... breaking whatever bad energy had been left there on November 23, 2023.
We can do hard things. And I see this every day with our little girl: she can now hold a paintbrush and... communicate on a new level.
This week has shown us how much strength we can all have in our souls... the important thing is, despite the heartache and challenges, never to give up.
Getting off the Luas, I decided to walk past the school and where the incident had happened... I felt relieved, almost as if we had come full circle.
