"We're not sure if [the shooter was] the same person he had the altercation with. I'm not sure why he was there at 11 at night."
"He just got a new car. He was working, he just got a new apartment and car. Things were really looking good for him."
Carlos Teron, a 34-year-old amateur boxer, was fatally shot outside The Colibrí Community School in the Bronx. Shot in the head, he was found unconscious and later pronounced dead at a hospital. Authorities are investigating the incident, with no arrests made so far. Jorge Teron, Carlos's brother, speculated the shooting might be connected to a previous altercation, expressing disbelief over such violence occurring at night. Carlos was a newly minted father, and his brother shared how Carlos's life had been on an upswing, with new personal achievements and family joys prior to the tragedy.
