A recent lawsuit asserts that a plane crash in Long Island, which resulted in the death of Roma Gupta and serious injuries to her daughter, Reeva, was preventable. The crash report indicated an electrical short caused the disaster, and the lawsuit claims that the flight school neglected maintenance despite prior smoke incidents in the cockpit. Reeva Gupta alleges that the operator prioritized profit over safety. The lawsuit aims to hold the flight school accountable for negligence and prevent future tragedies.
"My mother's life was lost, and the pilot's life was lost, and my life is forever changed because somebody wanted to make money," Reeva Gupta said.
"This tragic and entirely preventable crash was the result of reckless disregard for basic aviation safety," said attorneys Jordan Strokovsky, Ian Gallo and Mark Shirian.
