Exclusive | Elite NYC private school volleyball coach groomed and raped student for years, horrific lawsuit charges
Briefly

A lawsuit has surfaced accusing Collin Henry, a former volleyball coach at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, of grooming and sexually abusing a player over several years. The abuse began when the victim was 17 and continued into her early twenties, profoundly impacting her mental health and future aspirations. She alleges that Henry, who boasted about successful coaching, regularly flirted and made inappropriate comments, ultimately leading to sexual contact. The case raises serious concerns about abuse in educational settings and the responsibility of institutions in safeguarding their students.
The abuse allegedly occurred on the campus of the elite Bronx private school, after volleyball practices, at the movies and at the girl's home, and began when she was 17.
Once she turned 17 in the spring of 2005, the married father allegedly told her she was 'old enough' for a sexual relationship, and said he wouldn't go to jail for it.
