Legendary music mogul Clive Davis, 94, hospitalized in NYC following respiratory issue
Clive Davis was admitted to a New York City hospital on Friday for an upper respiratory infection. A spokesperson said the admission followed an abundance of caution. Davis, age 94, is expected to be released within 24 hours. He had recently attended the Gordon Parks Foundation Awards Dinner and Auction in New York City. In February 2021, he was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, a temporary condition causing facial paralysis, and was treated with antibiotics and steroids with an expected recovery in six to eight weeks. Davis founded Bad Boy Records with Sean “Diddy” Combs and became president of Columbia Records in 1967 at age 35. He has won five Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer in 2000.
