Golden Gate Park's Free "Reggae Sunday" Bandshell Concert

The Golden Gate Bandshell is set to host over 125 free live music performances in celebration of its 125th anniversary, starting March 1, 2025. Featuring mostly women-fronted bands in the opening shows, the season will run through mid-November with concerts scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays, and select Saturdays. Since its renovation in 2020, the Bandshell has become a vibrant venue for diverse musical genres, holding 600 shows and drawing nearly a million attendees over four years. A highlight includes a tribute to Paul McCartney coinciding with a related exhibit at the de Young Museum.
Illuminate, in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, will present over 125 free concerts at the Golden Gate Bandshell in 2025, marking its 125th anniversary.
The Bandshell, revamped in 2020, has become a hub for diverse music genres and significant performances, attracting nearly 1 million music lovers over the last four years.
