Illuminate and the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department will launch the fifth season of free live music at the Golden Gate Bandshell, celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2025. With over 125 performances scheduled from March 1 through mid-November, the series will prominently feature women-fronted bands. This venue has hosted a range of musical genres and popular events, having attracted nearly 1 million visitors in previous years. The Bandshell, renovated in 2020, remains a cultural landmark within Golden Gate Park and will kick off with a tribute concert to Paul McCartney.
