Illuminate, in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, will kick off the 5th season of free live music at the historic Golden Gate Bandshell featuring more than 125 concerts throughout 2025. The series opens on March 1 with women-fronted bands and continues through mid-November, showcasing diverse genres. Since its renovation in 2020, the Bandshell has hosted over 600 free shows, attracting nearly 1 million visitors, thereby enriching San Francisco's cultural landscape and its historic public music tradition. A highlight will include a tribute to Paul McCartney coinciding with a related exhibit at the de Young Museum.
