Illuminate and the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department will celebrate the Golden Gate Bandshell's 125th anniversary with a free concert series starting March 1, 2025. Over 125 performances are planned, featuring women-fronted bands to kick off the season. The series, known as Illuminate LIVE, will run until mid-November, showcasing diverse musical acts most Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays, and select Saturdays. This initiative builds on previous years, attracting nearly 1 million attendees and establishing the Bandshell as a key cultural venue in Golden Gate Park, which boasts over 23 million annual visitors.
