Ex-Carnivore guitarist Marc Piovanetti charged with sexual assault of a minor
Briefly

Marc Piovanetti, the former guitarist of the thrash band Carnivore, and his wife Jennifer have been arrested for serious offenses involving a missing child believed to be between 13 and 16 years old. The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office stated that Marc allegedly engaged with the victim through a social media platform, lured the child to his home in New Jersey, provided marijuana, and subsequently committed sexual assault. Jennifer was also present during the incident and faces charges for endangering the welfare of a child. Both are awaiting court appearances and have prior legal issues involving minors.
The investigation revealed that MARC PIOVANETTI, a stranger to the victim, engaged in conversation with the child on TurnUp, a social media application, and made arrangements to meet.
Marc Piovanetti, 58, was charged with four counts of second-degree sexual assault; second-degree luring; second-degree endangering the welfare of a child; and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Authorities were notified about a child between the ages of 13 and 16 that went missing from New York City and was believed to be in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
This is not Marc Piovanetti's first offense, as he was sentenced to 10 years' probation and registered as a sex offender for the rape of a child under 15 years old.
