Asher White, an experienced singer-songwriter from New York, is set to release a new album titled '8 Tips for Catastrophe Living' on September 12 via Joyful Noise. The album, which follows her previous work 'Home Constellation Study,' features the single 'Beers With My Name on Them.' White describes her new project as humorous, likening it to a self-help book while addressing themes of self-destruction. Additionally, White is embarking on a short Northeast tour to promote the album, starting June 25.
The idea of tips for catastrophe is really funny to me. I was interested in making something that sounds like a self-help book, but it's actually about self-destruction.
This album is mostly about doing whippets. I'm not even kidding.
Later this month, White will head out on a short tour of the Northeast, opening for Deerhoof and performing in major cities.
8 Tips for Catastrophe Living spans nine songs and follows 2024's Home Constellation Study.
