Born in Tallahassee, Amos' journey reflected resilience and creativity, learning the art of baking in his aunt's Harlem kitchen, which fueled his lifelong passion for cookies.
Before his cookie success, Wally Amos was the first Black talent agent at the William Morris Agency, representing major stars and showcasing his innovative spirit.
Launching his first Famous Amos cookie shop in 1975 with a loan from friends, he crafted a cookie empire valued at $12 million by 1981.
