Perdue Foods is recalling over 167,000 pounds of frozen chicken nuggets and tenders due to reports of metal wire found embedded in the products.
FSIS and Perdue determined that 167,171 pounds of these products may be contaminated after receiving customer complaints about foreign material in individual packages.
Jeff Shaw from Perdue emphasized that the thin strand of metal wire was inadvertently introduced during manufacturing, prompting a recall as a precautionary measure.
Despite no confirmed injuries from these products, FSIS is alerting consumers that they may still have the impacted items in their freezers.
