City Council Member Robert Holden stated, "To me, Jack Boyle is the real-life Batman. Just look at what he did," honoring Boyle's extraordinary life dedicated to service.
Boyle's journey began as a member of Ladder 102/Engine 209 in Brooklyn, where he saved the lives of children from a fire, earning the Holy Name Medal in 1978.
Boyle, a 30-year FDNY veteran, joined Rescue 1 in 1979 and left a legacy marked by commendations, including the 'Man of the Year' Award before retirement.
His commitment to public service defined his life, serving in the 82nd Airborne during Vietnam and then protecting citizens as a Transit Police Officer.
