Joey Chestnut Returns To One Of Our Greatest Sporting Competitions
Briefly

Joey Chestnut has officially declared his return to the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, which is held annually on July 4th. The competitive eater, who holds a record for consuming 76 hot dogs, missed the previous year's contest due to sponsorship disputes with Nathan's. After forming a partnership with Impossible Foods, tensions rose, leading to his ban. Recently, Chestnut expressed his joy at returning, emphasizing the contest's significance as a traditional celebration of American culture while clarifying his commitment to hot dogs despite his other sponsorships.
I'm thrilled to be returning to the Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest. This event means the world to me. It's a cherished tradition, a celebration of American culture, and a huge part of my life.
While I have and continue to partner with a variety of companies, including some in the plant-based space, those relationships were never a conflict with my love for hot dogs.
I'm excited to be back on the Coney Island stage, doing what I live to do, and celebrating the Fourth of July with hot dogs in my hands!
