City Will Pay Businesses To Reduce Truck Deliveries During The Day
Briefly

The New York City Department of Transportation is incentivizing businesses to shift truck deliveries to evening hours, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and emissions.
Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso stated that incentivizing off-hour deliveries "is a win for street safety and businesses throughout New York City".
Kelly Carroll emphasized that off-hour deliveries would ease congestion, reduce emissions when most needed, and minimize conflicts between vehicles and pedestrians.
Businesses must commit to conducting all deliveries between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for a year to qualify for the DOT's $6 million reimbursement program.
