"I wouldn't have posted it if I didn't kind of believe it," Prevost, who lives in Florida, told Piers Morgan on Monday.
Prevost described himself as someone who likes to stir the pot online, a hobby he believes he shares with Trump. "He says things just to stir the pot," Prevost said of Trump.
Prevost's posts represent his personal views and not those of the new pope, despite their familial relationship.
