Gerritsen Beach community organizes its largest-ever St. Patrick's Day Parade

The Gerritsen Beach 15th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade took place on March 29, featuring over 30 local groups and community members. This year's event, held in honor of founders Tom and Dolores Donovan, marked the largest turnout in its history. Compared to where it came from, it's the largest parade that Gerritsen Beach has ever had, parade organizer and family member Jim Donovan said.
It's a community thing where everybody knows each other and it's a great group of people, longtime residents Gary and Lucille Lovis said.
