Whitney Announce New Album, Share Video for New Song "Dandelions"
Briefly

Whitney, the Chicago-based band led by Max Kakacek and Julien Ehrlich, will release their new album 'Small Talk' on November 7 via AWAL. The album features the single 'Dandelions', accompanied by a music video directed by Alexa and Jessica Viscius. The song's inspiration stems from personal relationship challenges faced by Kakacek and Ehrlich. This new album marks their fourth studio release, following their 2022 work, and includes the previously shared song 'Darling'. The band is on tour until mid-August.
"A couple years ago, Max and I were both on the brink of moving across the country to be closer to the people we were dating at the time. Over the span of a few months, both relationships somewhat abruptly crumbled, leaving us with equal parts confusion and sadness, mourning the futures that would have accompanied those relationships, as well as the relationships themselves."
"Inspired by those events (and on a whim of Midwestern pride), we wound up spinning the story of 'Dandelions' into one of a big city hopeful who gets chewed up and spit back out into the heartland."
Small Talk marks Whitney's fourth studio album and follow-up to 2022's previous release. Earlier this year, Kakacek and Ehrlich shared the song 'Darling,' which also appears on the new album."
Whitney are currently on tour and will remain on the road through mid-August, continuing to promote their new music and engage with fans.
