Video: My Favorite Song | Sky Lakota Lynch
Briefly

I was in the back seat of my parents' car when I first heard this song, when I was about maybe five years old. My dad was singing to it, and my dad was crying, and I didn't quite understand what was going on. I had never seen my dad cry before.
I think that James Taylor tells the truth in his lyrics. He's sort of speaking about how life is so fragile and how you cannot take it for granted for a single moment. And I'm a person who's had a lot of low moments in my life so I know how to swim the deep end.
Especially during the pandemic, when we weren't sure if Broadway was going to come back. I had to re-audition for the show The Outsiders that I'm in that's coming to Broadway with Fire and Rain, and I got my job back. So I owe a lot to James Taylor.
If you want to cry or have a sad moment a beautiful moment go listen to the live version of this song. It is absolutely stunning.
