Craig Finn, the frontman of The Hold Steady, is set to release his sixth solo album, 'Always Been', on April 4th. The album, produced by Adam Granduciel of The War on Drugs, features guest performances from Kathleen Edwards and Sam Fender, alongside contributions from various band members. Finn describes this album as his most narrative to date, focusing on a clergyman's journey through faith and personal struggles. The lead single, 'People of Substance', showcases Finn’s storytelling skills as he reflects on his past relationship and personal growth. Finn will also tour in support of Bob Mould starting April 1st.
"I believe this to be the most narrative record I have made... it tells the story of his rise and fall and redemption..."
"People of Substance showcases Finn's full-bodied baritone and his penchant for evocative, detailed storytelling..."
