R.E.M., Death Cab for Cutie + The Postal Service, TV on the Radio, and more contribute to LA wildfires benefit album
Briefly

Following significant wildfires that impacted Los Angeles, a collective of musicians has come together to create a benefit album titled "Good Music to Lift Up Los Angeles." This album includes 90 tracks from notable artists such as R.E.M., Death Cab for Cutie, and many others, featuring previously unreleased songs. Available exclusively on Bandcamp for a limited time, the album's proceeds will support those affected by the fires via designated charitable funds. Good Music co-founder Jordan Kurland emphasized music's healing role in the recovery efforts through this project.
"We only had a few weeks to put this compilation together and are absolutely humbled by the contributions. Music is a healing force and we hope this collection of songs, in addition to raising much needed recovery funds, provides some solace."
"All proceeds from album sales will benefit those affected by the LA wildfires last month via California Community Foundation's Wildfire Recovery Fund and the LA Food Bank, while Bandcamp themselves will direct their cut of sales to MusiCares."
