Poison the Well unleash "Trembling Level," first new song in 15 years
Briefly

Poison the Well has released their new single, "Trembling Level," marking their first song in 15 years and the inaugural release with SharpTone Records. The track encapsulates the band's diverse influences, spanning hardcore to alt-rock, all in under three minutes. Guitarist Ryan Primack emphasized the effort to blend elements from their entire discography into a single piece. Frontman Jeff Moreira described the lyrics as a personal narrative about confronting fears and embracing challenges as paths to success. The release coincides with their upcoming North American tour, celebrating their debut album's 25th anniversary.
Lyrically, it's about tackling a fear. You're approaching something you're scared to do, going through it, and realizing the hardest parts are actually the ones you should be looking towards because those will lead you to success.
For me, I was trying to figure how to effectively incorporate elements from our whole discography into one song. We ended up with this, and it has a little bit of everything we've done throughout the course of our existence.
