Briefly

Bryce Dessner, originally from a classical background, now explores his roots through composing, blending influences from his indie rock career into classical music.
"Over the years, I've written quite a few solo instrumental pieces for myself, mostly on the classical guitar. And eventually I started writing for friends," Dessner explains, showcasing his transition from personal exploration to collaborative efforts.
Reminiscing about his classical days, Dessner states, "That was sort of in my language as I started to write for other people, string quartets, eventually orchestra and choir," highlighting his deep-seated musical foundations.
