iHeartMedia has signed a significant agreement with BBC Studios, becoming the exclusive third-party sales partner for BBC podcasts in the U.S. This partnership reflects the rapidly expanding podcast market in the country. iHeartMedia CEO Conal Byrne expressed confidence in their capacity, boasting the industry's largest salesforce. The move is part of a broader strategy by the BBC, which launched a dedicated audio unit last year to enhance its global presence and commercial opportunities.
"We couldn't be more honored and excited," said iHM CEO Conal Byrne, referring to "the exploding U.S. podcast market." Byrne also noted that iHeart deploys "the largest salesforce in the industry."
