Dream-Folk Artist Darci Phenix's New Album Sable Explores Memories, Nature and Sustainability.
Briefly

Darci Phenix's third album, Sable, focuses on a sustainable creative approach, transitioning from the intense songwriting of her previous album. She aims for music and art that support long-term personal fulfillment. Celebrating Sable's release at an exhibition in Portland, Phenix showcases her textile work, highlighting the balance between her music and artistry. Her hands-on crafts ground her creativity, complementing the spiritual nature of her music. By integrating these different forms of expression, she nurtures her overall artistic ecosystem, ensuring both her music and art resonate for the long term.
It was such an intense process. I was printing off Neil Young lyrics and reading them and trying to make 'a great song,' you know? I was really trying with that record.
Sustainability is at the core of this record in so many ways-sustainability with my art practice and making sure it will work for me long-term.
Each is a completely different thing. One is totally working with my hands and the other is working with my feelings and sound.
While the music is the thing for Phenix, the physical work is vital to keeping her whole artistic ecosystem in balance.
