Dolly Parton is heading to Broadway with the musical Hello, I'm Dolly, where she is writing new songs and co-writing a stage story inspired by her life, aiming to land the show on Broadway in 2026. Parton will team up with Maria S Schlatter on the story.
Parton has a rich history in music, movies, books, Grammy awards, humanitarian efforts, and past hits like the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 songs 9 to 5, Here You Come Again, and Islands in the Stream, as well as numerous No. 1 Hot Country songs.
This Broadway musical will join the ranks of other musician biopics on Broadway, including Neil Diamond, Alicia Keys, Michael Jackson, Carole King, and Gloria and Emilio Estefan, among others.
