"On the surface, this is a group of straightforward guitar pop songs. I'm refining my primary sound and style through simplicity, brevity, and clarity," Mould said in a press statement.
"Under the hood, there's a number of contrasting themes. Control and chaos, hypervigilance and helplessness, uncertainty and unconditional love," Mould explained about the deeper meaning in his new music.
Later this year, Mould and his band will embark on a headlining tour of the United States in support of the album, kicking off April 1 in San Diego, California.
The new album titled "Here We Go Crazy" is set to be released on March 7, following Mould's 2020 record "Blue Hearts."
