18 New Songs Out Today
Briefly

Multiple new singles and album announcements span metalcore, indie rock, grunge-influenced indie, alt-rock, and chamber pop. Portland metalcore band Dying Wish released a dark single titled "Revenge in Carnage" from Flesh Stays Together. Fanclubwallet's Hannah Judge announced the sophomore album Living While Dying with the single "New Distraction," describing its mantra and a band-assisted guitar lick that evokes a Coldplay B-side. Maneka (Devin McKnight) announced Bathes and Listens and shared two grungy, '90s-style indie singles, "Shallowing" and "Dimelo." Oliver Sim returned with "Obsession," produced by Bullion and Taylor Skye, and Fime released a melodic alt-rock single "Burning the Candle."
So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we'd call "indie," and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks.
Hannah Judge announced her sophomore album as fanclubwallet, Living While Dying, due out October 24 via Lauren Records. About new single "New Distraction," she says, "'Cmon, I'm waiting, for some kind of new distraction' was a mantra circling my brain these last couple years. This song came out of nowhere for me, though. I was too anxious to write a solo guitar lick for this but the band encouraged me, and it became one of my favourite parts. It reminds me of a Coldplay B-Side."
