The Sony Xperia 1 VI's first update to Android 15 is now available, bringing a minor bump in security but no significant changes to the customizations.
We can confirm that the OS update is relatively small at 940MB, especially when compared to other updates that have been as large as nearly 3GB.
While the Xperia 1 VI has received its Android 15 update, other models like the Xperia 10 VI and Xperia 1 V remain on Android 14.
Sony has committed to providing three OS updates and four years of security patches for the Xperia 1 VI, starting with the Android 15 upgrade.
